Award Winners Named for Immortal Champions Triumph 44

LONDON-The Immortal Champions promotion has named the award winners from last month’s sold-out Immortal Champions Triumph 44 promotion at Porchester Hall.

Immortal Champions: Triumph 44 took place on 27 October in London. The multi-discipline fight card featured kickboxing, MMA and Muay Thai, including British and European title fights. Attending fans were also treated to a musical performance by phenom Vagali as well as a live DJ.

The Performance of the Night Award goes to Azerbaijan’s Huseyn Mustafazade. Mustafazade overcame a broken arm to defeat Holland’s Joey Klijenberg and win the European title by decision.

The Fight of the Night award goes to Ian Barret and Thomas Bentley. The two Muay Thai fighters thrilled the crowd with an exciting back-and-forth-battle.

Barret came out with all guns blazing. He couldn’t put away Bentley, who mounted a furious late rally only to lose a close decision. It’s the type of fight that makes you want to see a rematch.

Mohammed Elosta gets Knockout of the Night for his scary first-round stoppage against Amanuel Reda. Elosta knocked Reda out in just 22 seconds with a right hand and follow up punches. Elosta is a fighter to watch.

Immortal Champions: Triumph 44 was sponsored by the Fund for Azerbaijani Diaspora. The event has received international media coverage, and was broadcast internationally by Leapfrog Sports.

Immortal Champions is headed by Hafiz Bakhshaliyev, a former world and European champion, and 11-time Azerbaijan national kickboxing champion.
